Merc Posted March 7, 2008 Share Posted March 7, 2008 my engine light came on and i had it diagnosed at autozone...the error code was p0505= idle control system malfunction..they didn't have the part..where can i find it..really don't want to go to the dealer... Nancy Posted March 7, 2008 Share Posted March 7, 2008 try a junk yard, sounds like you just need an idcv. they go bad now and then, i replaced my first one at like 87k miles. if not a junk yard, order online. maybe autoparts.com or majestichonda.com may have it. MiekyG Posted March 7, 2008 Share Posted March 7, 2008 just to be on the safe side check timing!!!! becouse being off timing can show high/low idle, lost of power up stop or down low depending on how you did timing, but hopefully that is not the reason and the 20 minute replacement idle valve arent to much money~!~~!~!` Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
