chris_agu28
Is there a better crankshaft for the H22 instead of using the stock one? Like better used for better stroke or whatever. I most likely going NA still.
lceah
something like this?
James Matteu
Crankshaft does not equal Camshaft. Your getting your shafts mixed up Iceah. Edit: and he mentioned an effort to improve stroke, so I am sure he did not make a typo.
lceah
ooops I read wrong...lol...thanks for telling me lol ok crank shaft...
lceah
I did some research: forged crankshafts are better...now what is it in a Sol? Thyssenkrupp is a German company, one of the biggest makers, that makes good ones...

Thyssenkrupp is a German company, one of the biggest makers, that makes good ones... I glad you found some good camshafts for me. But I never heard of this company I will have to look them up. I am assuming that forged crankshafts will last alot longer and hae a better endurence to high stress. remember it is going into a H22, then into a del sol. That first question confuses me. chris_agu28
twice today, first you are thinking camshafts now you are thinking it is the motor in my del sol which is a D15 Does my text mezmorize you or something? Do you have a website to the camshaft company?
lceah
lol you mean crankshaft? hehe camshaft: passwordjdm.com crankshaft: here on the right side, US companies...probably...
chris_agu28
Now you got me thinking it. Thanks I looked at the camshafts and Can't decide what camshaft I want. Tuner A,B, or C. Probalby C. Thanks alot.
..SSR..
OEM Honda H22 cranks can handle 1,200+whp. F22 crank can be used to stroke it. I have one FS. I've never heard of that company which means its more than likely not any good.
lceah
it's one of the biggest companies that makes high-tech. crankshafts...it was just an example... but ya, maybe you don't need it...the stock one is good... Chris, you want better stroke? elaborate...
chris_agu28
I was just asking if there was better crankshaft then the OEM one that would provide better stroek and anything else. I was not looking for anything in particular. Don't they make a stroker kit for the H22? If so then I might use the F22 crank or like the aftermarket one you were telling me about Iceah. Since I most likely going NA a stroker kit would be nice.
lceah
stroker kit or you piece it together one by one: pistons, rods... this but I don't see H22 don't know if it's good and it's expensive too
chris_agu28
stroker kit or you piece it together one by one: pistons, rods... this but I don't see H22 don't know if it's good and it's expensive too I would love to have a JUN stroker kit but I don't see the H22 either. That stroker kit for H22 was nice but mega expensive. and I don't know what compression it is. I trying for maybe 13:1 maybe lower.
lceah
it is very respectable to really get into details and build it N/A...than just turboing...
chris_agu28
Yeah, that kit is going to cost so MUCH, it says any compression but looking at the cost of everything it will probably cheaper to not get one or build it piece by piece. lceah
exactly! piece by piece is better imo
chris_agu28
I just gotta find a crankshaft like the one in that kit. The pistons and such are going be no problem. I also the kind of connecting rod I want. Any you want to recommend? You are really helping on this build I will give you credit for it okay lina? ..SSR..
Jun is crap. Just use an OEM F22 crank.
chris_agu28
Jun does not make a crank anyways. So if use a F22 crank, It would be beter then a H22 one? You say I should use it for a stroker engine?
lceah
Eagle rods? and lol you are doing the work...
chris_agu28
Yeah but you are helping me pick out all my parts. You are taking a quarter of the work out for me. One quarter is actually getting the parts, another is putting together, and the last is getting it running right. I was going to get some eagle rods but I didn't know if there a particluar design I want for the rods like a I beam or whatever.
..SSR..
No offense, but I wouldn't let her pick your parts. An F22 crank in a H22 IS a stroker engine. Budget rods = Scat non-budget rods = Cunninghams
