solmeistro Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 I got a 96 accord for a daily driver, i want to upgrade the blown speakers, what are the sizes for the front and rears??? and do i need any kind of harness kits or anything?? i just want oem sizes but better brand replacements. James Matteu Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 Front: 6 inch Rear: 6 by 9 inches Here is the catch: In the front, there is not enough room in the door for anything but an OEM replacement single-channel 6 inch speaker In the rear, there is enough room to choose from a two-channel and three-channel speaker, BUT if you go with a three-channel speaker you run the risk of the front sticking out too far. I bought single-channel Pioneers for the front ($40.00 brand new). I bought three-channel Pioneer 6 by 9s for the rear and had to take a belt sander and reduce the height of the tweeter guard to just barely paper thin.
