Humphries Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I am bored of my car, i want something RWD and powerful. It makes more sense to get a mustang than to put as much money into the civic than I plan to. discuss.
sup Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 RWD and Powerful = Camaro/Trans-Am Mustang = meeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh unless it's a cobra
guythatknowsnothing Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 mustangs are nice but you can get more power with something like a trans-am/camaro like sup said.
Humphries Posted February 7, 2008 Author Posted February 7, 2008 i like the look of the new mustang. they're powerful enough.
TLontheDL Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I'd settle for just a plain GT. If its a v6 stang, forget it.
wannaBstuntin Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Talk to Busted, lol. But yea, I'd prefer a T-A over a mustang. I was looking at those before I settled on a Civic again. Just too much $$$

Nancy Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 get the mustang and put a GT-R emblem on it, straight pimpin right thur.
Ben. Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 S197 Mustang GT's (the model Billy wants) is actually quite a contender. Auto GT's have gone as low as 13.7's and 13.8's. Manual's have obviously gone faster.
CleanGSR Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I've driven a stock GT 2006 model and was far from impressed. It didn't seem all that powerful/fast to me at all (and I'm used to a bolt on GSR). Then you add in that the thing weighs ALOT.....plus it handled worse than my Grandpa's Cadillac. After driving one....I'm far from impressed with the new Mustangs.

CleanGSR Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Did I floor it? Seriously, I wouldn't have passed judgment if I'd merely babied the thing. I put a dent in the floorboard (figuratively), and while it did have nice torque off the line, it felt much weaker up top and didn't pull nearly as hard as I would have expected.
lceah Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I drove one too...a stock '07 GT...my friend's and he said go ahead and rev it...and I wasn't impressed either...even though it doesn't need the clutch to be pressed all the way down to shift, it still wasn't going as fast as I thought it might...
sup Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 The only thing I truly like about Mustangs is they sound really nice with the right exhaust. Oh yeah, and the suspension is crap.
SIR_VTEC Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Only mustang I would ever get is a Shelby, otherwise wait for the new challenger...now that car will have massive ballz
Ben. Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Then again, it's all about preference. I don't like riding in the S197's 'cause it feels like I'm in a boat. The SN95's and New Edge MUstang's, while having the same interior..ride comfortable. And I love the shifter position. And people may bash the suspension's all they want, replacing them is cheap and there are some OUTSTANDING components on the market for these cars.
Ben. Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 For brute power, sure. Interior's are garb on any F-body. Take it from me.
Hatch92 Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 but see if you buy an f-body you didn't buy it for the interior. you buy it for the power and performance. Plus i like the way they feel, it feels like you in a jet's cockpit.
Ben. Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Yea.. They feel, for lack of a better word.. I guess, Firm? Planted.. Just, feels stable.
Ben. Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Yes, yes. I miss my old WS6. I'm reaaaaally liable to end up with a fox this weekend LOL.
Hatch92 Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 i was thinkin of buyin a '98 Z28 guy wants waaaay too much for it though. especially up here in AK.
