wannaBstuntin
I'm gonna stop reading this thread because no one is going to change anyone else's mind. So there's no point in discussing it. It's just going to lead to arguments and flaming. Vote for who you want. Period. I'm voting "present", myself. /rant
CRG7
I was happy when I heard earlier that Romney dropped out, not that it matters much since McCain is the front runner. I'm so tired of hearing Ron Paul this, Ron Paul that. Most of what Obama has to say is simply what Clinton is saying. The rest is all ridiculous, or half-truths. In relation, I'm so tired of Oprah's support for him -- well, her support and her own ego. I'm from NY too, Hatch, and I voted for Clinton in the primary. Hatch92
I can tell you right now Obama will not get a vote from me and anyone else i work with. I can't vote for some one who doesn't say the pledge of allegiance and doesn't put his hand over his heart for the national anthem. Why should we fight for something he doesn't respect? 94typersol
originally, I liked Ron Paul till he started so show some really socialist promises- which is how he's getting the college vote. I'm all for fair trade, equality and reasonable taxes but having lived in a flat tax country, i've seen that it doesn't work well. Also, by eliminating the IRS and current taxes, it means that both mine and my fiance's families take a huge loss which is something I'm not prepared to be responsible for. imo, Paul should just drop out of the republican race at this point- he doesn't have a chance and if he does want to continue his campaign, then he should run as an independant. If obama or hillary make it in... I'll shoot them personally. I've always hated Hillary, even when Bill was in office. I think she's kniving, scheming, and just generally a bitch who's only in it for herself. Obama I have problems with. Big problems with. I dont trust anyone who won't take a side on a major issue such as war or abortion and will simply claim "present." I don't trust where he managed to get his money from in order to run in the first place before his endorsements- it's never been aired publicly. I refuse to live in a country where the president wants to be sworn in on the Qu'ran instead of the bible. Englands already going the way of the Muslims (they're even beginning to put in muslim law over there) and that was a big reason why I left there. I refuse to be part of even more of a superpower that'll end up going that way too. There's a pretty good chance Obama wouldn't make it past the first year anyway. KKK numbers are back up to their strongest numbers ever, and they're far more extreme than they ever were before. Personally, I like McCain & Huckabee. Yes, Huckabee might be a far right religious nutcase, but this is a country founded by christians and everyone's seemed to forget that lately. I dont believe our war with the middle east is over oil, weapons of mass destruction or anything else. I believe that it's yet another crusade. Almost everyone I know feels the same way. Forget politics, this is about religion and having a strongly religious president who can return the country to its original values will help this war. Huckabee just wants to try and get back to what we're supposed to be. McCain has a lot of experience in politics and I feel he's a confident leader, so I wouldn't be upset with either of them. McCain's the likely winner though. Mitt Romney dropped out of the race today. damn girl your right i tried to get people on hear to talk about that but nobody listened.my thing is i cant see how people even let him run.if he dont respect our country how can we let him run it.but how is england taking on muslim law.its funny the whole world is fight this muslim crap right now but yet all you hear is muslim this muslim that

CleanGSR
While I wouldn't wish bad things on anybody, regardless of my opinion of them, I'd agree with the above comment. Sadly, the stupid confederate, white trash, rednecks in this country are down right crazy. Sadly, I think Hilary has a better chance of running the country w/o the VP issue, but still a risk over the typical white male. There's too many nutjobs in this country that hate blacks and one of the thousands/millions is likely to do something stupid if we end up with a black president (or half black). BuddySol
Without jumping to much into politics, I started out listening to Ron Paul. Interesting stuff, but seriously...it wasn't going anywhere if he can't pick up a Republican following, so I stopped listening to him. Funny how McCain has a commanding lead in delegates, but the majority of conservatives dislike his views. I dunno, I think after this I might skip out on the Presidential election... ...it seems like the prime time for the Democrats to take the White House. They were able to pull Congress during senate races, so it seems that the nation on a whole is leaning towards the liberal side. Yet, with Obama or Clinton running, I do not feel I can back either candidate and I'm quite sure, gives the Republicans a decent chance at the Presidency. I guess for now, its a wait and see when the debates come. In the end, whoever ends up in the White House is going to have a nation heading into recession and tiring of the war. G'luck! Actually it's very typical here in the US, that when one party has control of one branch, the other is almost always a complete shoe-in. With Democrats grabbing Congress, the country will choose a Republican for the White House. People are afraid of what can happen when the same party controls both branches. Though in all honesty, when the Repubs had control of both before the last round of elections, they did little to further the conservative agenda. However, if the "I'm already taken, by a future politician no less" thing falls through...look me up.eh... im extreme conservative but there will probably never be a candidate that would ever have the perfect campaign for me. personally, I believe women shouldn't work and should be supported by their families/husbands once they have kids. I believe women are given far too much lee-way and allowed to get away with too much in the workplace. Most women will never be happy no matter how many freedoms, rights and whatever amount of "equality" they get. It's never enough, or it's too much. I don't believe that money & business rules everything- instead we need to concentrate on sociological issues such as the family, & education before we concentrate on money. We need to put more money into the people of america instead of concentrating on foreign policy and sorting everyone else's matters out for them. We need a smaller federal government and allow states to govern themselves more. I think those who can, should have servants. I believe we need to look at how urban sprawl is affecting our country. We were built to be self-sufficient but the majority of the economy thrives on exporting our natural resources and outsourcing our companies. America's too concerned with everyone else's needs but never their own. We need to bring our politics back into our own country and start looking at our own people before we deal with anyone else. We have the same problem Rome had... we're too big for our boots. We're too busy dealing with everyone else that we can't see whats going on under our own noses. This eventually leads to the implosion of what could be an amazing civilization. We're not improving our civilization, but rather regressing. We're no more civil to each other than the neanderthals were to each other. Infact, we're probably far more rude and nasty to each other than they ever were. I just see that there's a lot wrong with this country, with the citizens, with the politicians and the business and there's a lot that could be changed and improved. I'm not saying that this isn't a great country- god knows I'm very patriotic and I'm extremely thankful for every freedom I have, I just see that there are cracks that need to be filled, and i personally believe that the only way to fix these is to go back to our constitution and live as our forefathers outlined for us. but how is england taking on muslim law britain has an extremely high muslim population throughout their major cities. Leicester, Birmingham and London are three of the highest concentrations of muslim communities. Unfortunately, while many of the parents left their home countries to escape extremism, their children are the ones who want to go back to this extreme belief and are petitioning for muslim law to be put in place in britain as not every british law apparently applies to them, and by charging them with certain things is considered religious persecution. Personally, I feel that if they want to live by muslim law then they need to go home and spend a few years there and see how they like it. They'll be crying to come home after the first month i reckon. They've even managed to petition the NHS for nurses to turn muslim patients beds 5 times a day to face Mecca so they can pray. As if the nurses have nothing better to do!! I'm sorry, but I have a major problem with the way the muslim religion is trying to seep into every crevice and society these days and how they're getting their own way in countries that have always been predominantly christian. lceah
This country was founded on it. Plus we have separation of church and state. that's why I said "too much religion" because religion doesn't always apply to everything...one reason why we have the "state" in that "church and state" idea... and I agree with some of the stuff you guys are saying buuut: 1) if no one ever gets involved with the other countries, there would be anarchy...I don't agree with what US does sometimes with forgetting our own problems and sticking our noses in other countries' business, but ignoring the world wouldn't work either... 2) women shouldn't abuse their rights, BUT, please let's not forget all the human rights violations against innocent women out there!!! and all the other violations against ANYBODY who is violated... I don't see how people say it should be like the 1800's where women stay home and men work!!! 1st, that is impossible in this economy for MOST families!!! 2nd, any human being needs to do something for himself/herself also besides family/friends...a lot of women contribute so much to the US economy in the work force!!! why would we take them out of there and make them stay home? I'll use myself as an example: I'm an engineer...I've worked for a company to make parts for navy/army/F22...also for a pharmaceutical company as an engineer to help make drugs for diabetics and cancer patients...now I work in a company making rocket engines for government/... so I should just stay home when I get married/kid???
