vmaxster
1989 civix dx stopped running as headlights/dash lights went dim on way from work last night. Had battery checked and was bad. Bought new battery and changed out but engine turns over but no start? Plenty of gas in tank.

Civic Tuner
Possibly a tune-up issue? Also make sure the terminals are clean. Check for a blown fuel pump fuse.
James Matteu
You could also have a bad alternator. The way your car shut down is classic bad alternator.
delsol209
thats wat it sounds like the alternator but if you can hear your fuel pump when you turn the key ur good but also check spark, but then it could be ur distributor they tend to go out after a while how many miles you got??? delsol209
thats wat i think it is cause if its turning over and gots fuel then.... has to be spark
Hatch92
just pull the wire off the end of the plug, stick a screwdriver into the wire and lay it over the valve cover or on the block then have someone turn it over and watch for a spark. if no spark check the wire and do it again. if still no spark then it's prolly the cap and rotor. Ben.
You people think you've been juiced. Try getting hit with over 400 volts on a three-phase contactor while working on a goddamn chiller. If you don't hit the voltage with the back of your hand, it WILL make you grab on.
