CleanGSR
Crossfire DB's. That was late 90's, so they were pretty good back then. Mom had a Celica like that. God was it slow. Mine was too. That's why I got rid of it. I'd be shocked if it was running 17's.

Sapphyre
i remember my dad having a 1987 tempo before he got the escort he gave me. Tempo's seem to last forever! the only reason he got rid of his was because he never registered the plates & issued a ticket about them when i was 17. It was easier to get rid of the car than it was to deal with sorting it out.
CleanGSR
what did it run after the wing and kit? Who knows....it was so slow to begin with that if I actually ran the 1/4 mile, the clock would probably time out and reset before I made it to the end. seeing the pics of your old celica again makes me laugh. you've come a long way since then.... Yes....a long way, thankfully. i remember my dad having a 1987 tempo before he got the escort he gave me. Tempo's seem to last forever! the only reason he got rid of his was because he never registered the plates & issued a ticket about them when i was 17. It was easier to get rid of the car than it was to deal with sorting it out. I sold my old Ford Tempo about 4 years ago with around 150,000 miles on it. The people who bought it live down the road from me and their daughter still drives it. It's been wrecked and abused bad since I sold it, but the sucker is still running. Kristin
And you people say I'VE had too many cars. Meh. In my case, it wasn't like I wrecked a bunch or anything. I just didn't want half of them. Only wrecked one and it wasn't my fault. -shrug-
Ben.
I've only wrecked one. Ironically it's the only one I've ever had "accidents" in. I was sideswiped..nudged at the backside and finally totaled it. The great thing is I wasn't at fault..with ANY of them.

It was the typical, "someone ran a red light and almost killed me," scenerio. My Sol was wrecked twice, but I wasn't the owner of it. It's funny, I did a CarFax on my Sol and it's been owned by sixteen different people, including myself. It's a definite whore.

Xeryon
I almost junked my first car because of a bad smell. I had had the car for a few months and it was already taking the 16 year old thrashing so it wasn't worth alot. The thing start to smell a little funny. It was summer, so I left the windows down alot to air it out. I went to the mall and left the windows closed and the car baked in the summer sun for hours and when I got to the car I retched when I opened the door. I had it towed home. I tore that car apart. Figured a rodent got in the vents or something like that. After a half the day, maybe 6+ hours, I find the culprit - read to gag? - a used rubber that I had thought I had tossed out had fallen between the center console and the seat and was up under the chair slider. I didn't see it until I took the seats out. bleh - given the timing of events and the last date that lead that way in any vicinity of my car and I place it at a full month in the heat of summer it was in there.
