lunarflip313 Posted January 29, 2008 Share Posted January 29, 2008 Hi I was taking my girl friend too work and suddenly the car died just no engine I just replaced the igniter chip and ignition coil in December when it did what seemed to be the same thing on a one way in down town Detroit at night . This time it sounded the same when I opened up my distributor the ignition coil was melted at the contact point of the cap , I measured the resistance and the whole unit was fried even the main transformer I also checked to verify I had no spark before replacing . After replacement I have spark I have fuel but no ignition….. Please help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
