fishswimfast
i just bought a 94 prelude. everything works in the car except the cigarette adapter. when i plug my radar detector in, it doesnt work. i checked the fuse box under the dash and in the engine bay and i can't find any place that is labeled cigarette adapter. i checked the acc fuse and it is fine. could it be something else or is it the cigarette adapter itself? speedfreek09
just make sure the ignition is on and use a test light or multimeter to test all the fuses thats usually what i do. plus if you have other blown fuses you can fix them too. i cant count all the times i have fixed customers cars problems just because they havent checked all the fuses

CleanGSR
Look in your owners manual and it should give a breakdown of the fuses. Also check the fuses under the hood and a lot of cars have a second fuse box in the passenger side footwell. If all else fails, pull each fuse, one at a time, and see if any of them are blown. If that doesn't work, track down an acc power with a tester light (off the ignition would work) and run a new wire to the cigarette lighter. This would take me about 15 minutes to do all of that. If you're not very familiar with wiring then it should still take under an hour.
fishswimfast
ok i found out that its not the fuse. there's a male plug with four wires connected to the adapter. i guess when the head unit was installed the adapter got unplugged. does anyone know where the plug connects to
airjordan223
yeah there should be the female plug around there. you might have to remove the stereo because they probably unplugged it to take the dash trim off, then put the new deck in, and the plug got pushed back. its there, just do some searchin
