crash11
My haynes manual says to push in the seal until is seats, but the bore has no shoulder for the seal to seat on. Is there a quick and easy tip on how to do this? I'm thinking of just putting the seal right on the drive axle and letting is push the seal to the right depth when i put into place. I've had the driveaxles out a couple times now, once to replace tranny, 2nd to replace driveaxles , and never had a leak on reassembly, but now it leaks even though the seal appears to be in good condition. So I'm thinking I knocked it out of position last time I reassembled driveshafts.
