slosol
hey everybody i was lookin on hmotors and came across a d15 sohc vtec motor, now at first i thought it was a typo but i got on here and asked around and someone (cant remember who) said that a d15 sohc vtec motor was produced by honda. my question is does anyone think that it is a possibility that one of these motors could have accidentaly found its way into a del sol from the factory? the reason i ask is bc i have a 93 del sol s 1.5 and its by no means fast but it does seem to have more get up and go than your average 1.5. btw the motor is completely stock. any help or comments would be great, thanks guys
AccordHEART
Yes, A del sol s comes with a d15, but it's not vtec. You can easily tell in a SOHC engine because of the spark plug placement. If it was vtec it would have spark plugs in the front of the head. SOHC Vtec - http://got-jdm.com/images/honda%20vtec%20sohc.bmp. Xeryon
to answer another part of your question: unless i completely missed something the d15 you were looking at was jdm, which was a vtec motor. it was never vtec enabled in the us though.
