He was asking $2900 but understood the crappy situation im in since im being sued and everything and not working, so he worked out a deal with me. still dont know for sure yet if im going to keep the car or not. Might sell it and buy a sol. who knows. ive gone through like 3-4 cars in the past 6 months. It is nice though to have a roof over my head compared to freezing my butt off on the bike, but this ls is sooooooo slow compared to what im used to. It drives me nuts. lol. Although you would already have to be well established in the marketplace to get them. One-off sellers are only getting 900-1000, so it was probably a good deal on your end. what did you end up paying for them? i like the car and the look. i say keep the car, at least for a few months. my girl tells me I go through cars like tissues. so what, I have owned 14 cars in the last 12 years, thats not too bad considering I put a minimum 20k miles on each one, I wasn't just flipping them. besides, like you said, the weather can't be perfect for riding the bike every single day in sd. that, and not all girls want to ride on the back of a bike and mess their hair up every time you want to take one out. having something with windows and doors is nice for the ladies. If that's what you really want, I say go for it as I'm a firm advocate of the sol. Especially in SoCal where you can drive top-off most of the time. But, if you're not dead set on a sol, I say keep it. That's a great looking car you got there. And high miles ain't nothin' if you swap it and redo brakes/suspension properly, plus keep up with all the maintenance. By the way, do you have access to the smaller, less powerful, and cheaper laptops too? I might have to talk to you about this since I'd be sort of interested if the price were right. I might have to talk to you about this since I'd be sort of interested if the price were right. i badly want a del sol or another civic like the one i had. but i would prefer a sol. i need to come up with $50 and pepboys will do like a bumper to bumper multi-point inspection for me to tell me everything that is wrong with the car even down to cracked trim. they will also do a oil change and tire rotation with that. at this exact moment i dont have access to any laptops, but i can look around and see what turns up if you want. i might be able to find a really nice one for you and sell it to you cheap. ill keep my eyes open. I don't know that I'd trust Pep Boys to do that kind of inspection, personally. I've worked with a few of their techs and they know about as much as I do usually. I will blow this motor though before the swap takes place. or ill sell it and buy a nice car at an auction, then sell that, and buy a del sol to mod. who knows. you could probly make alot of money off of police impounds. I think im going to build the next gsr motor completely this time. pistons, rods, springs, valves, cams, ect. the last one i barely got to drive it with the t-60 turbo i had before the civic was gone. this time, i want to really have fun. Edit: and what makes you so sure im going to get another gsr motor? theres a chance that i wont. not a very big one (like 2%), but a chance.
