Found this for sale on HT and thought it looked interesting. Fairly clean too. The Sol they should have made  Needs some paint but I thought it looked sharp. If conditions warrant I would try this if the sol needed a new front clip.

Was looking into it only because the wife is prone to rear-ending people. She did so three times in the 6 years she had her last car, and twice with the previous car. All were minor, but only a matter of time before she tears one up good.

Any thoughts? Discuss:

I think the headlights looks way too big on there....stick with the stock sol front end....

Put the money into a defensive driving course for your wife. Rear ending someone once is one thing... multiple times is unacceptible.

The old accord and tempo had great big fat bumpers so they took the hits pretty well and didn't cause a big problem. Shes not plowing into anyone, just not paying attention and idling into people at stop lights and drive thrus, that sort of thing so far. the nose on a sol is a bit more prominant and it you ding it up it is much more noticable.

i like 90's reply, that was the common complaint from nearly everyone who laid eyes on that generation civic. the parts for this would be crazy cheap tho. late 90's civics are all over the place. If it was done cleanly it would be unique at least. if you want some more pics from his original sales thread click here.

i'm trying to get her to go with me to autox in columbus this summer. She has a car worthy of running. it wouldn't necessarily win any trophies, but she might have fun and get a little more 'into' her car and take better care of it.

Agreeing with Dan. Most people I know hate/hated the Sol's front end because they thought the headlights are/were too big. Putting even larger ones on just looks ridiculous. Unless you're converting from a USDM to JDM front end (on the same model), then front end conversions get a big thumbs down.

You know, looking at the two cars in my sig, I wonder if anyone has done a conversion to a 92-95 civic front end on one?

ive seen del sols with 92-95 civic, 94-01 integra, jdm itr, and 96-00 civic front ends and they all look out of place. stick to the stock look, much better. just my .02 cents

yes, they will all look out of place. I had no specific intention of doing this, just one of those things that if it ever came up would it be worth looking into. just trying to get people to talk about something other then which cai should I buy for my moms 04 accord and look at this $10,000 engine build I am gonna put in my pos 84 civic - did I mention I have a kick ass job at mcdonalds?

I was always partial to the apple pies, show up 5 mins to close and give the night manager $5 and he would give me all the ones left in the machine, usually like 20+. Toss them in the freezer, the nuke em for like 30 seconds for 3 am snacks
