FurWolf
As some of you may have read, I recently rebuilt my whole d15b6 and dropped it back into my 89 CRX HF. However, now there's an oil leak coming from where the dist bolts to the head. I've put a new dist o-ring in there, but it didn't seem to help. Its really annoying, as I can't go anywhere without leaving a small puddle of oil. The engine also seems to have a hard time idling, and its a tad erratic. This may be an unrelated problem, but i'm wondering if the distributor might be bad? Is there an internal seal thats faulty? This is also a stupid question, but is there supposed to be a seccond cam seal on that side? I'm at a loss. -FW

crxtacy
re-check the valve cover gasket.see if you pinched it while installing it .if its okay, put silicone on the corners where its flat on the gasket. And no,there is no seal on the rear side. For the rough idling it could be anything.before condeming the dizzy, check for vacuum leaks, grounds, bad pcv valve etc.
