jjcuff1
I have a rear drum S. I just had the brakes done but the rear drivers side tire does not turn true. It wobbles a 1/2" or more out in one spot causeing severe vibration at 55-65mph. I can turn the tire on a lift and see it wobble in and out. I took the tire off and the new rotor. I can see the rotor as it rotates in the back of the brake go in and out in one spot but looking at the rotor it appears straight. The spindle appears straight too. anything to check or can I just replace the spindle? rotor?
cranny
strip it down to the hub , attach something to the car which stays in the same spot and almost rests on the hub , and spin it , see if the hub itself is warped. also listen to the sound your wheel bearings make , see if they are done. TS John
You had them done? As in you paid someone at a shop to do it? Take it back and make them fix it.
jjcuff1
i got a new rotor from Autozone for $17, cheaper then hassle back to shop in st pete form tampa. Seemed to work like a char, the shutter and vibration and wobble disappeared and with targ off the 55-65mph shutter is 99% gone, mild vibration wind buffering right at 56-57mph thats seems normal. But now I do realize that the body has a lot of flex in the rear that rear upper & lower sways should inprove upon.

TS John
I think he just means drum rotor (like the outer casing) and not disc. Cuz when I replaced my brake system with all new components Brembo listed them as "drum rotors."
