jetguy84
Okay so this problem has me scratching my head. My wife gets in the car, cranks it up and starts to pull out of her parking spot. She forgets something in her classroom and pulls back into her spot, runs inside for 2 minutes then when she gets back in the car it will not start....My first guess was the timing belt let go. Belt is intact, inspection of fuel pump shows its working. After working towards the engine from the fuel tank I have discovered there is no spark to the plugs. My question is has nyone seen or heard of this type problem. If so where would be a good start in troubleshooting the ign system? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated..Thanks, Keith
Hatch92
sounds like the coil is breaking down. it's not creating enough power to cause the spark. sounds like the coil is breaking down. it's not creating enough power to cause the spark.

crxtacy
remove distributor cap and inspect for anything obvious.get a test light and put it on the neg. side of the coil.have someone crank it and see if the test light blinks.if it does, the coil is bad.if it just stays on,the igniter is bad .
