EFHatchTuner
Well all and al the T45 is just too big for a four banger. You probly wont get full boost untill 8000 rpms. Id go with a gt35.
Kegger
Thats what I've been telling him. But he won't listen to me. Even though he got the turbo for free. He won't even trade it for a smaller one.
cranny
heres local guys build: Turbo Setup Garrett GT3582R (4bolt converted to Vband) Turbo Elements Top Mount Manifold Turbo Elements 4 inch Downpipe W/Vband 3 inch Catback Stainless Kteller Exhaust Tial 44mm Wastegate Tial 50mm Blow Off Valve RC 1000CC injectors Precision 750hp Intercooler Block Golden Eagle 84mm Sleeved B18a BLock CP Pistons 9.0:1 Compression Pauter Rods Polished and balanced Crank ACL Bearings ARP Main Studs ARP Head Studs Head B16A2 Head GSR Cams Supertech Valves Supertech dual valvesprings Supertech Titanium Retainers Port and Polished by Dave Lind AEBS Intake manifold Fuel Management AEM Fuel Rail Walbro 255 Intank Fuel pump Aeromotive FPR Crome Tuning Software GM 3-Bar Map sensor Innovate LM-1 Wideband Transmission B18b Transmission Quaife LSD 24.5x8.75x13 inch M/H Drag SLicks this was the start , it ended up being an 85.5mm bore. still hasnt been on a dyno and not completely finished in general , but hel be making in the 600 whp - 400 tq range. thats running 26 lbs of boost , which he will have at about 5000 rpm. i set his valves for him , lol. so i dont know about 8000 rpm , but the turbo is definitely too big considering this guys build , and whatever you plan on running that huge turbo on , lol. EFHatchTuner
Thats a bad ass set up for a frankenstein.
..SSR..
85.5mm = no good for boost. T45 is small for a fully built race engine.
EFHatchTuner
T45 65mm trim are you kidding? Thats almost big enough to do a single turbo upgrade on a supra. I mean dont get me wrong, the horsepower he will get from it will be awesome but there is gonna be some serious lag.
Attaus
A T45? Wtf? Dude get a GT35R.. GT40R if desperately want power.
cranny
85.5mm = no good for boost your hilarious dude , lol. wow.
..SSR..
Why? 86mm is the biggest you can go for a serious street all motor build. 87mm for drag all motor.
Kegger
But hes not going all motor. He's going boost. Edit: And if thats true how come B20s are 84mm?
..SSR..
B20's are 84mm with weak sleeves. 85.5mm on boost = cracked sleeve. If you're running a small enough amount of boost to not crack a sleeve, then what was the purpose of sleeving? When its time to rebuild it, it will have to be sleeved again. mustang_eater12
hey solLes why dont you try concentrating on what your tryin to type when there are frackin rockets coming into your camp. and arp makes head studs and main studs. you can buy a block with golden eagle sleeves its not that hard. and skunk 2 does make those cams. i had to special order them, and the valves... cuz i wanted them. Kegger
He is in Afghanistan for you people who are too lazy to look at his avatar. He's on the other side of the world, nowhere near his car. So quit frackin hating. And quit asking for pics you douche bags... Good frackin god have some respect for a kid in a war that he doesn't want to be in, and I want him to be there less than he wants to be there. solLes, I respect your knowledge yes, but that does not mean I respect you as a person. You have no place to tell a person why they can't spend their money the way that they want. Kyle is a fully trained and licensed mechanic, as well as having worked on Honda's just as long as me, he knows what he's doing. Now when he comes back to the states in October, he might put some pics up, so just chill.
Pyrorocketeer
to solles.... your a moron.... Balanced pistons are... that they all weigh exactly the same arp goes in more than head studs.... what about con-rods? you'd know this if you've ever had an engine apart..... and or built one. EDIT: forgot about the mains....
