TS John
Go and look at it and drive it if you can. Sols are great but buying a messed up car kinda sucks. Make sure it's not messed up. Love those wheels, though.

xer0
"stock dx motor so is it a D15B7 D16Y7 or D17A1 so in ether case if its a D15B7 or D16Y7 its the stock motor for a "s" and if its te d15b7 its the stock for the first gen sol. if it is a swap, first thing is why then again it might jsut be the stock D15b7 and the guy is an idiot

mike09
You say it will be your first car if you happen to get it, as this is your first car, you'll get in and drive it and think its the best car in the world, so get a mate or two to come along with you to get it all checked out, and make sure your friend knows a fair bit about engines, what to look out for and so on. it looks like a nice car though, a few bits that need neatened up, but well, good luck! Thanks he said it would be 3000 w/everything and 2500 without rodio, rims, cover. EDIT*** Got more info "standard. runs great, ac ,electric windows, gsr seats carpet is new just perfect. kill switch so no one can steel your car. brakes are good the top is clean also comes off. lights work good. suspention, coilovers mean if you to lower your car or higher your car any time." zimmy709
yea, same as most people said, find out the miles, drive it and those transmissions are known for the "third Gear Grind" if you can take it down a hill and let it chill in 3rd down the hill, letting the engine hold you back... make sure the transmission doesn't pop out of third while doing this (mine did soon after i got it) that would be a big one, but yea that and check what the hell is up wiht that rear bumper. and i have always wondered what a red del sol would look like with those wheels... im impressed, i like it. oh and that reminds me, the coilovers may seem good, and they are unless it doesn't have a camper correction kit of some kind(if not you could always add this, its not that hard, thn get it aligned) , and every time you change the height it will throw your camber off. if your camber is off your tires will ware badly on the inside, and even though the car is lower, it will handle worse if it's not corrected because your tires contact patch with the road is incorrect. Good luck with the dicision though, i love my delSol.

TS John
I'd say no CF hood like that is a plus. The wheels can be replaced with ones you specifically choose. That's a good price for a sol in good condition. Go see if it is in good condition and jump on it. They go fast.
