so i was on my way home tonight and had a little fun with my '98 ranger and some guys cavi on the road.

Ranger: all stock except the airbox was removed and replaced with a cone filter

Cavi: intake from the sound of it and atleast a muffler not sure if it was a whole catback

i passed the kid driving down the highway. the got off the off ramp a little ways down the road the guy followed me. we stopped at a light the kid revved his little bumble bee. i had the window down and he yelled over wana race. i laughed and said ok, kind of figured i would lose considering i was in a truck. any ways the kid had me of the start but i caught up to him by the top of first, had half a car on him by the top of second, and started walkin about half way through third. i slow down to stop at the stop-light soming up and this kid just flys buy me with his 4-ways on and blowin his horn through the red light.

i thought it was pretty funny it reminds me of the kids back home

Haha, I had a 97 cavalier, and by no means was it fast. 1st was nice, but 2nd and 3rd were dogs. They are fun to drive though, corner decently. Only race I ever won was against a Talon, and they are POS. We were starting on packed snow, and i had brand new TOYO 800 ultras, thats prob the only reason I won. We hit 3 red lights in a row and took off on each green, pwned him 3 times, then drove about 20 with him tailgating me just to piss him off.

On the plus side they are really reliable cars, only had to fix it about once a year, and it would only be something small, less than $200.
