compuvision02 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 ...'s new album sucks donkey weiner! I've already listened to it four times and nothing has caught me. Just a warning, this is a bit of a rant. It's funny to watch bands emerge and fall, mainly because of their label, media, and listeners. I think Linkin Park is pretty much done, after all these years of sticking by the band, getting pissed at the Jay-Z thing, then getting false hope with their new album. Hybrid Theory EP (2001) - Not too many people I know knew about them at this time, great stuff. Hybrid Theory (2002) - Amazing album, but most people I know hated them at this point. Reanimation (2002) - They felt the need to let their DJ do his thing? Was only good since I was into systems at the time and it bumped but was still a band I liked. Meteora (2003) - Great album, probably their best, even though it seems like they changed their style a little to attract more fans. This is were everyone who said they sucked in 2002 joined up. Collision Course (2004) - No idea why they did this, this is were they started their fall. [Fort Minor] The Rising Tied (2005) - Would have been fine if they didn't relate Linkin Park to it so much. Minutes To Midnight (2007) - Trying to go back to their old ways and failed horribly. Summing up Linkin Park, thus far. I'd like to hear what other people think, since I feel I am sort of bias on this.
CRG7 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Haven't heard it, and have no desire to. They've sucked from Day 1, IMO. My boyfriend likes them, and was trying to tell me that I probably wouldn't find the new stuff as bad as the older stuff... I think this was just to make me feel better about seeing them live yesterday, but fortunately he suggested we cut out after TBS's set
compuvision02 Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 Ah, so you went to Bamboozle? And it's funny, I don't listen to that style of music anymore, but there are few bands that I've been listening to for a while that I stay loyal to, until they suck it hard.
Attaus Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Like everyone else my two picks are Meteora and Hybrid Theory 1.

Yeah, it pretty much sucked this year though. Waaaaay too crowded. It was crowded last year, but there were really only a few spots that you couldn't really move around (entrances, etc). This year was just a mass of never-ending people. Fortunately, I'd already seen all of the bands before that I ended up seeing this year (all of which I'd seen a lot closer than I could there, and a lot more comfortably lol). Oh yeah, were you there this year? I know Dan went...
compuvision02 Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 I was going to go with Dan, then ran out of money, wanted to buy the parts to get my car finished and ready to tune instead.
mycarsux Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I'm gonna be nice and just not express my opinion for linkin park.
SolLesHonda Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I like them, I liked Rising Tied too. I didn't like Reanimation though. I liked Collision Course because I like Jay Z (every once in a while)
SIR_VTEC Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 You know who actually struck me to be pretty good, is Incubus's new stuff...didnt think they could of pulled off a decent cd
mycarsux Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 what the...i thought this thread was about linkin park. not incubus
90IntegraC1 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I'm not really a fan, but they were damn good live at Bamboozle this year.....check out this pic i took, came out pretty nice!
xxscaxx Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 i like the old linkin park stuff. meteora and hybrid theory to be exact. i heard some of their new stuff, not really feeling it.
lceah Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 second Hybrid Theory was good...after that, I don't like any of the albums... haven't heard the new one though...
