bms99rdw
Any one able to give me instructions on changing the light, do I need to remove the bumper skin?
Kegger
Open the trunk, pull away the liner, remove plastic cover thingy and you have access to the back of the light assembly.
bms99rdw
Open the trunk, pull away the liner, remove plastic cover thingy and you have access to the back of the light assembly. I did, I removed 3 nuts from the back and a screw from the underneath. It seems like there are two plastic pieces that are inset to the metal that seem to be keeping me from getting the light out. I tried pushing & pulling the plastic lens, but it won't come free.
airjordan223
do you need to change out the whole thing or just the bulbs?
bms99rdw
I have to change out the whole thing. My son broke the lens. I have a new one, I can break it in the process of getting it out, no big deal. But I would like to do it right. I've replaced them on older cars, but this one is being difficult. What i usually do is wrap a flat head screw driver with a towel and wedge in between the light and body. that way you don't scratch the paint. what ever way the plastic pieces point is the direction you pry. (i think on those it's straight back) as long as you have the nuts off from the inside, all you have to do is pop it out of place. afer that all you do is twist the light sockets to get them out of the old lense and twist the opposite way to get them into the new one
