compuvision02
Anyone know where I can find the heat shield for the exhaust manifold from a Honda Integra Type-R? I bought my manifold from a friend and they polished it, but only got so far, it looks decent, but I'd much rather have the heat shield. Thanks a lot! Hatch92
ebay maybe or a junk yard. wouldn't the GSR heat shield fit the type-r also?
compuvision02
I don't think so, I believe all the heat shields are different.

Humphries
thats a useless part get header wrap or jethot coating.
compuvision02
Why is it a useless part? It looks stock and clean. Wrap and coating is also a good idea, but I don't care really.
Humphries
i just dont see how spending 65 dollars on a heat shield would be worth the money.
xxscaxx
i have to agree, but he wants it to look stock and clean. nevertheless, not really worth it lol. but to each their own man.
compuvision02
Eh, I may try and get a bigger loan out and just get a Drag kit, so who knows. I just hate the way the half polished header looks.
mycarsux
Wrappin the header will crack it. I'm pretty sure a heat shield doesn't crack the manifold easily.
zimmy709
since when will wrapping a header/manifold crack it? i just hadn't heard that one yet. anyways, they are completely different because the type R is a tubular manifold, the gsr is a cast mani. once again, just some fun useless facts. mycarsux
stop posting in old threads and i've heard that as a fact. it doesn't happen like instantly, its over a long time. its just a risk factor with heatwrap. everything has a downside or risk with it. compuvision02
What? Heatwrap is to prevent that. Heatwrap keeps the heat down, hear will make it crack.
Ben.
People heat wrap turbo manifolds.. I don't see them cracking often.

EH6TunerDaniel
If you get a big loan and boost it, how much would you want for the ITR mani?
