ElBox95CiviCLx
Hey peoples, I was driving the other day, got somewhere, (ac was working at the time), turned the car off, and when I got back in the car, the ac seemed like it was on, but just isn't blowing anything...what the crap could this be? And do you think I need to take it to a tech to fix or is something that is diy? Thanks in advance.
compuvision02
I was actually going to ask a similar question, so I will tag up. My air conditioning takes a while to get cold, to be honest, I think it is just the fact that I get cold after it blowing for a while, not that it is getting any cooler. Anyways, it was refilled with freeon last season, my mechanic filled it since I said it wasn't cooling well. I thought it was working better, but it really wasn't. I'm not sure what it is. Check your fuses if they're good make sure that the motor is getting juice.
Ben.
They're obviously not going to blow cool when they're at a dead stop. Honda's cooling system's are NOT the most impressive things in the world, either. My EJ6 had cool air, but with it blasting in the middle of summer with my windows up (even using 5% tint to try and block sunlight) you were still pretty hot. As for your system having to be refilled Rob -- take it from me. ANY type of HVAC system shouldn't "need" a refill, so to speak. I mean, cars may be an exception, due to the fact that their components really only consist of seals that go bad rather than coils and braze joints and all that.. To the OP -- it could be something as simple as a vacuum line having come off. Check under the hood for anything that looks unusual, if all else fails, take it to a shop. Thanks in advance. see if your compressor is engaged. If it is locate the blower motor which is under the dash passenger side . Try tapping on the motor couple times see if the motor comes on.The blower resistors always goes out on these !

ElBox95CiviCLx
Okay, here's some more info..... The compressor is engaging...I can tell, because when I'm driving and I have it set to vent instead of circulated, I get cold air, and it's hot as hell outside, so I shouldn't be getting cold air. I tried the whole tapping thing...nothing happend....anybody else got any clues on why the freakin' blower would go out?
