how did u fix it?

well i never used my AC because i would just take the roof off. then for a couple days i decided to turn it on just to get it running, then i noticed that area started getting wet. i just stopped turning on the AC because it didnt work anyway, and it went away. i might just take the whole thing out because im not gonna pay to have it replaced when i dont use it anyway, plus ill get 60whp by removing it. does your AC still blow cold? if not you should get it replaced and that should fix it. someone else probably has some better info for you though

The reason that you get water in your car from your A/C is the little hose that comes out of the evaporator is going inside the car as opposed to going out of the car. Most of the time because peopele use the hole it goes thru to run power wire for their subs. Look up above your ecu and you will see the hole, push the hose back thru and Voila!!! No more leaks.

But dohc1991, no idea about your leak though... Did you remove the wheel well liners? Cuz water tends to get into cars if you do that.

How did you people not know that one.

He also says his A/C doesn't work. So how does condensate develope on a non-functioning A/C system? Do you really need this spelled out further?

  • 2 weeks later...
yea id just keep an eye on the coolant ot be sure its not a cracked heater core

Turn on the Heater for a few minutes, if it's the heater core the leak will get worse and you'll start to smell the coolant. not sure if a/c use will have same effect, but that's how i discovered the leak on my toyota's core.
