jrkurth
I have a 94 s as a project car and have gradually been making my way to a a turbo. As of now, i have suspension, cat back, intake for performance boosters, and now i am looking for my next move. eventially i would like to turbo the car, so therefore, i do not want to put on say a header, because then i would be jsut waisting money. I was thinking my next steps should be fuel rail, injectors, and intake mani. what do you guys think? also, what sizes should i go, especially for the injectors? Solwings
I personally wouldn't put injectors in yet, if thats what you mean. That would be over kill for your stock setup now. Just wait until you actually boost for those, or you could run 310 on a really killer all motor setup. Go for an aem fuel rail, and fuel preasure reg. you'll be fine. 450cc dsm injectors for your turbo setup or bigger
xxscaxx
you cant run bigger injectors anyway without a tune. dont need to change ur intake manifold. like solwings said 450cc dsm injectors will work. edit: just realized you said you had a del sol s. if you are sure you want to turbo, get rid of that motor and at least put a d16 in there. that mini d15b isnt gonna be able to handle boost. I just got a 94s. how does the car respond to the CAI, Exhaust? sound like a rice can? any seat of the pant increase or effect on MPG? I was thinking a I/H/E to start and drive the hell out of it and when it starts to get over 150k miles (at 100k now) I will swap to something. There is very little rasp which is often associtated with "ricey". Performance wize the car is a little more peppy. I especially noticed this at the higer end of the band, or when moving over 70. However, I have replaced the clutch and fly wheel (lightened fly wheel) and now my top end is not nearly as high, 4K RPM at like 85-90 but off the line, it is a lot peppier. It is by far not a fast car, but she is peppy, and fun. that is why i am looking for a few extra mods to keep me happy for the time being. Intake for me was the first thing i did, and that made it extremely throaty. I should also tell you im running a racing cat, more of a free flow design, which also helps. jrkurth
What about a mini me swap for this car? and would that work with a turbo? remember i have the bone standard d15 motor right now. I do not want to change the motor unless its blown, and she is running strong right now. I have heard many different swaps including the d15 block, and a d16 head, but would i go with a vtech, or non? also, what about cams, pistons, and all that for this if i was to do a heap swap and if not?
