Dead air on FM!!! Brand new 2007 Civic SI w Navi system. P

Recommended Posts

I just bought this brand new car a week ago and discovered this morning that the FM selection does no longer work.

AM/XM channels work perfectly fine, however, when I switch to FM there's nothing but dead air on every channel I pre-set

I can toggle without any problem between AM/FM/XM, seek channels, etc. using voice recognition system, touch screen and hard buttons. Voice response feedback works OK too, reporting on all of my selections.

Radio Help commands don't really help and there's nothing in either Owners manual or Navi System manual that would give me a hint.

Any thoughts???

Take it back to the dealer. If it's only a week old then it's definately still under warranty. Make them fix it.

man FM radio is so over-rated.lol

but yeah no worries, warrant will cover it definately.

hey, question...can u put a aftermarket HU in the newer civics...cause i know in like 05 or 06 the dash went from CD slot to AC controls then to the main stereo buttons/controls at the bottom... i guess its just crazy mods that must be done...

iyz just curious :D

i think i would just leave the HU on the passenger seat. lol

Thanx, got it fixed myself. Called the dealer, they told I had to bring it in for a day or so, what a crap!!

It looked like a computer glitch in the Navi to me, it acted like a computer glitch, so it must've been a glitch. Just disconnected the battery to unpower it completely, and, here you go, everything came back up and running!

Dunno about an aftermarket stuff much. One thing for sure- you can't install it in 07 w Navi system. There's simply no room for it- everything is hidden behind the navi touch screen and is fully integrated with it. You can't just insert a CD- you have to activate the function that rotates the touchscreen first! I don't think you want to mess with that :)
