lil.honda.man
Ok, It hit me. I just got my car and the block says d16z6. I look on the internet and i noticed that the d16z6 spark plug holes are close to the header and the oil cap is in the top right. But on my car the spark plugs are close to the intake manifold and the oil cap is in the lower left. How is this Possible? Srry for the amount of posts. Pballer2005
i think you got ripped off, that's what the a6 head looks like
lil.honda.man
is it possible to have a d16z6 block with the a6 head and valve cover?
mycarsux
Think about it...would it fit?
Pballer2005
it would fit, its a d16 block regardless, the question is why though? people normally put z6 heads on so they can have vtec and get more power but from what your saying they've done the opposite? mycarsux
If the oil cap and spark plug holes are in completely different spots how could the VC fit? I didn't ask if the head would fit. I asked about the VC. Sorry if I didn't clarify.
lil.honda.man
I don't know what the man did. The manifold, header, and everthing else looks identical to the z, just the valve cover. I just wondering what i'm losing off the car since this is the case. I mean how much does this affect? VTEC, etc. The manifold, header, and everthing else looks identical to the z, just the valve cover. What do i have to remove the curse?
mycarsux
Post pics of your motor. Show the VTEC solenoid, the VC, and the engine code stamp. Also, what model is your Civic? EX? DX? LX? Your profile just says '93 Civic 4dr'
lil.honda.man
What head should I put on? Isn't there a dohc, I can put on? I'm not sure what car model I have Everything is powered, no wing or anything. So I dunno.
CRG7
What head should I put on? Isn't there a dohc, I can put on? I'm not sure what car model I have Everything is powered, no wing or anything. So I dunno. You can't put a DOHC on a SOHC. A6 head on the Z6 would result in lower compression. Just get a Z6 head and call it a day.
lil.honda.man
This looks like my motor too.. The intake and everything.
Kegger
Dude you have Z6 everything and an A6 head. Buy a Z6 head and swap out heads. Then you have a nice strong motor with VTEC and it cost less than $400.
mycarsux
I asked you to post a pic of YOUR motor. Not a pic of something that looks like your motor. Whatever, look into buying a Z6 head and do it.
