CRG7
sony cybershots and canon powershots should be good for what you'd need/want. sorry, i don't have any model numbers to throw out right now
compuvision02
I have a digital camera for sale, but 88CRXSi_tuner has dibs. If he falls through, I'll let you know.
sup
Sony has some unbelievably thin cameras, though the picture quality could be better. I bought a 7.2mp DSC-P150 when it first came out (3-4 years ago). If you don't hold your hand PERFECTLY still the picture comes out blurry. Great camera other than that. I think Sony has a new feature to take care of that though.
Pyrorocketeer
I noticed the blurry pics with sony's cameras too.....I thought it was just me
CRG7
I noticed the blurry pics with sony's cameras too.....I thought it was just me I've got an old Sony Cyber-Shot U that I haven't experienced that with. It's only 2.0 mp though lol, but I love it because of how compact it is. I picked up a Samsung this past fall, and since I tend to have shaky hands, I've noticed some blurriness in some pics with it from time to time. krissi
you can never go wrong with the canon. canon's powershot is your best bet. unless your going to blow your pictures up to poster size u do not need anything over 7mp which u will still never use to the fullest. the sd750, sd1000, sd800 or the sd900 is what i would suggest- all point and shoot best bang for u buck is the sd1000 which starts at 215. check out price grabber to compare cameras . if u need any other help feel free to email or pm me! hope this helped a bit http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_attrib....non/rd=1/popup1[]=90:975/popup3[]=120:

CleanGSR
You've seen all the pics I've posted up of my car and stuff. Extremelly high quality for the price. I use a Canon A620 and they run under $300. Canon have some of the the best lenses available for entry/mid level cameras.

lceah
Canons are really better than most...in my experience and many of my friends'... Sony blurry pictures are very typical...Sony is not too good... I was gonna tell you about pricegrabber.com but you have already been told... Get something with Image Stabilizer so that pictures come out better... Canon SD series are good...like one with 7 megapixels...SD1000 with 7.1 megapixels is great...After so much searching, I just yesterday got the SD900 10 megapixels with image stabilizer...that should last me a long time and not get outdated cuz it has 10 megapixels... searching around and reading reviews really help in finding what you want

90IntegraC1
From talking to Chris about this, he recommends the Nikon D40 or D50 for starters....over and over he's told me that lol

CleanGSR
I bought my camera from newegg.com The other thing that is cool about my camera is that you can get an adapter and it will accept 52 mm lenses. So I can get fisheye, wide angle, telephoto, macro lenses etc....with my camera that cost under $300. While I haven't bought any of those yet, the ability to do so played a fairly large role in my decision. I plan to get a telephoto and fisheye lens eventually. CRG7
From talking to Chris about this, he recommends the Nikon D40 or D50 for starters....over and over he's told me that lol Yeah, but those aren't really "everyday-use" cameras.
