compuvision02
Hey all, I need some help picking out a new setup. Coilovers are preferred, but I would do springs if I had to. Anyways, here we go. I am currently on Omni Power Full Coilovers, they handle amazing, but they are extremely stiff. I am going to be daily driving the EH2 now, so I don't want the uncomfortable ride, so I have a few questions. Would it be easier to just buy a different spring for the Omni Powers with a different rate and do that? Any suggestions on different coilovers that will ride better? Or would I be better off with springs? I know that most spring setups ride comfortable, but don't handle as well as coilovers. I need suggestions from people who have, had, or riden in a 1992-1995 hatchback with suspension. Brian has the same coilovers as me on his DC2 Integra and they ride like butter, so I'm guessing it has to do with the weight of my car. Help! Humphries
i was looking through a thread on JDMcivic and a user "phunhaus" is using JDM St. Boeso duel spring coilovers. He bought them in Japan but i'll get a pic if you're interested. he's installing them on his integra though. Very interesting design and concept. Humphries
St. Boeso Coilovers. get some kind of translator if you want to look them up.. most of the websites are written in kanji.
CleanGSR
I would reccomend Ground Control's. I'm running them and they are really comfy. Get something like Illumina's or Blues and do the lower fork mod that I posted about in the front. Then get custom or GC extended top hats all around and you'll be able to drop it 2" with the oem amount of shock travel. This will all add up to a very comfortable ride and you can just kick the setting up on the shocks to get a better handling/stiffer ride.
airjordan223
yeah i have Blues with eibach sportlines, and it actually rides really nicely
compuvision02
I don't really want sleeves, I dislike them. And it's hard, because you say this for your Integra, but look at Brian's Integra, same suspension as mine and it rides like a dream. I might look into Function & Form Type II's. TS John
Wait, so Ground Controls are Eibachs? That's what the links you just posted led me to believe...
CleanGSR
The springs in GC are made by Eibach.
Pballer2005
those are called helper springs and i've seen alot of high end sports cars with them. the black spring you see is softer but under hard conering they compress completely and the stiffer, red ones take over.
