Solwings Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 I have a 93 del sol, with a swapped b16a2. Im piecing my own turbo kit together, and i can't find any good looking/fitting intercoolers with pipping to most likely fit my car. I am preferably looking for pipping with the b.o.v setup already welded on to it. I went to ebay but im unsure of the fittment. Could you please point me in the right direction with links to sites and places to purchase one? Thanks guys
Ben. Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 You could try GReddy..I dunno if they sell just the piping, or HKS.. Just google "del sol intercooler piping kits" and see what comes back.
Solwings Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 Hey can anyone check this link and tell me what you think. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SRE-Civic-I...1QQcmdZViewItem
Solwings Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 someone told me 92-95 civic fmic works so i guess they were wrong.
Ben. Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 It tells you what it fits on the site lol. Dunno for sure.
Solwings Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 ya i see that, lol, but to me it looks a lil ackword. what would the vets on the site say?
Humphries Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 i'd say get a few 2.5-3'' diameter pipes and get some muffler shop to work with you and have the pipes custom bent.. that'd be a lot more work though.
Solwings Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 with that being said, do you think this might work with little fab work?
xxscaxx Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 do it yourself. i did at least. buy the ic piping kits from ebay and just cut it yourself.
Solwings Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 what spec for the intercooler would work? would this be ok for the del sol? im guessing so, but would like to be sure unless there is a different one you suggest that fits like a glove
Solwings Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 shoot me a link to something when you can, thanks
xxscaxx Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 depends what turbo. depends how much boost. that will all depend on how efficient the ic is on those two aspects. no matter what ic you get.. your going to need to cut the bumper and mod it to fit. probably will need to remove the bumper beam, and definitly cut the bumper.
Solwings Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 ok, this is the turbo im planning on using. http://www.ssautochrome.com/level.itml/icOid/1489 Im gonna use the t3 at the top of this page. Check it.
Ben. Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Oh, God no dude. No SSAutochrome. You're asking for nothing but trouble.
xxscaxx Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 dont be afraid to order the fmic from them. good fmic kits (at least for subies). the turbo, im not so sure of.

Thanks guys andysautosport.com usualy has stuff like that.if not you could go to an exhaustshop and ask them to measure and cut it for you.you could buy a bov and have them weld it for you to.all in what you want
Solwings Posted April 23, 2007 Author Posted April 23, 2007 whats exactly bad about the turbo from xs?
xxscaxx Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 they arent the best quality with manifolds, at least with my experience. there SS manifolds crack if you go too big of piping. when i still had my 2.25 piping on the sol with my turbo, it held fine. as soon as i went to 3" it cracked every day (literally, i sent in for 4 new ones). my friend i sold it to said he put a flex pipe in and it didnt crack, but i havent talked to him in a long time so im not sure if it still does it or not after a certain time. the turbos, not sure of. honestly, if you go that route, i know from personal experience that they have good customer service. so if something did happen you shouldnt have any problem getting a new one for nothing. search up over on honda-tech or a bigger site on the ssac turbos and try to read reviews and feedback.
