92 SI hatch Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 :help: ok soooo im in the middle of replacing the rear brakes and rotors on my 92 civic hatch Si and i cant get the frickin piston to collapse down so i can slide the caliper on the new rotor...i dont get it..the fronts went quick and easy no problems...but now the rears are killin me..am i missing a step here or something...some help/advice would be nice thanks guys =)
Pyrorocketeer Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 shouldn't have to open the bleeder.... should just go back up into the reservoir. This way you don't have to bleed them when your done. get a pair of clamps and push them back. EDIT: The rears you have to screw in....lol
Ben. Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Oh. I always opened them at the valve, never really got any air into them. Then again, I never had rear disc on my Civic's.
92 SI hatch Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 the rears screw in...so i dont need to apply pressure to force them back down?
92 SI hatch Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 k i got em done thanks for the help guys =)
