Humphries
What are your opinions on this? I am considering it on my next DD. 6th gen civic sedan.
Kegger
Actually, thats really clean. I like it. Brings some classy style to the car. I would definitely do that if I had the money.
airjordan223
yeah i like it too. doesnt mess up all the body lines like most conversions do, and you never see it done. makes the civic look mean
Humphries
its the simplest, cheapest conversion out. i saw one on HT or HMP.com for 400 w/ no hood. get a hood and paint the whole front and the whole thing is no more than 800 with a lip. Kegger
Then that is definitely worth every penny. Clean, yet cost effective. Edit: You said it bolt on but it looks like the headlights might be a lil difficult, or is it just swap them out and they bolt into factory spots. cranny
you know its funny , i could be wrong , but the bottom pic , looks like a local guys car big time. i bet it is. its funny to see pics of a car from here , on this site , lol. i can get more pics of that car for you if you like , before and afters. Humphries
if you would like, you can post pictures up in this thread, yes. I got that picture from a user on JDMcivic.com forums. Supposedly, you get the front and everything bolts in as civic body panels would. But it might be more complicated than that. I will be looking into it. Kegger
Well keep me up to date on how the headlights go in. I am very interested in this conversion.

Humphries
i am most likely going to do it when i get my sign on bonus from the navy in november. The EL was only sold in canada so it'll be a bitch for me to find a front end donor car around here. might just order from Honda directly so i wont have to do body work, just paint the damn things. it looks like the radiator support is also altered. but i have researched and the civic and the 1.6 are basically the same car, just minor alterations. EH6TunerDaniel
You sure? I think there was some sort of integra that was the american bersion of the 1.6el............ask koffee.
Humphries
i wikipedia'd it and having seen the bodies the civic and EL match up.
BuddySol
You sure? I think there was some sort of integra that was the american bersion of the 1.6el............ask koffee. The dude is right. The EL is Honda's badge engineering at it's best.. Its based off the small car platform...started out as the JDM Domani...then kind of turned into a glorified Civic EX...meh. Not a bad conversion...prolly one of the cleanest and original ones I've seen in a while.
Humphries
whos right? i also really like it.. im kind of annoyed seeing the same civics running around and having this would make me feel different and stand out more.

You. I think you were saying it was off a Civic and EH6 was saying it was an Integra. So I was agreeing with you...if that's not how it was then bah...shoot me. Ben.
You think you'll be unique -- that is until an EG6 pulls up next to you with a JDM Integra front end.

EH6TunerDaniel
I know that Koffees girlfriends family has some car that says integra on it but it is a 1.6 el. It has a d16y8 in it.
Humphries
hmm.. it doesnt compete with the integra, the civic and EL are both produced in ontario. EL and integra dont look alike.
