xplosion79 Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 My tranny was stuck in gear so I replaced the clutch and found one of the springs on the clutch disc jammed in the pressure plate. I put in an ACT clutch set with a lightened exedy flywheel. Now when the car is in neutral with the clutch out it makes a chattering noise that goes away when I push the clutch. I also replaced the slave cylander. Can anyone help me out before I part the car out. It's a 95 ls. What did I do wrong?
cranny Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 you need mainshaft bearings inside the tranny. about 75 bucks for the both of them at the dealer. tranny needs to come out and be split apart. MAINSHAFT BEARINGS. chances are , its been like that for a while , you just never noticed it. if your parting it , just advertise it as such , dont sell that tranny to someone without telling them it needs mainshaft bearings , that would be a crapass thing to do to someone.
xplosion79 Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 I'm going to have to pull everything apart again. now I can get it in gear. When I put it in gear with the car off and start it it won't move.
