Sell all your possessions and follow Jesus.

bwahahahaha!!!! thats a good one.

go to a junkyard, or online engine shop and buy a new motor. they arent that expensive, or sell the car and buy another.

"Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." (Mk. 10:21)

I was joking but kind of serious at the same time.

Well even if I sold everything I wouldnt have anything left to give the poor, because of college debt. :(

Are you talkin about finding same engine or saying swap? Probably cant sell it and buy another because I dont know anyone who would pay enough for me to buy another. But if anyone wants to give me offers feel free.

If you're car dies just buy another junker for awhile, like an EF hatch. Just until you get enough money to get a car that will last you a lot longer.

I may try and find another dd,wouldnt suprise me if it was a ef hatch cause I really love efs, and rebuild the crx later on down the road.

I'll give you $200 smakeroos for the CRX right now...I am a nice guy! :D

Thanks but I know i cant buy anything with that. Id rather just hang onto it and get another car to drive while i fix it.

You could find a really cheap car on ebay that has the engine you want that doesn't work and rebuild it. My friend did that just recently to get a second D16A1 that he's using in one of his projects and it was nice and cheap.

Posted

Yeah that sounds like a good idea, Im thinking something like that will probably be what I do because then I would have two cars making it easier to have one apart while building it.

Posted

Yeah. Engines are surpringly simple when you take them piece by piece. Not that I am an expert or anything.

Posted

Well if I get a second car I want another ef hatch though, eg hatch, or a sol. So if anyone has one of these let me know.

Posted

Well came up to a solution to my problem. My dad towed some guy who has a b16 that he'll give me for cheaper than buying another car.

Posted

Oh, bummer for me. I was about to tell you I have a del sol for sale, haha.

Getting a B16 for your crx is gonna make that thing so much faster.

Posted

i disagree

b16 stock 160Hp 111Trq

depending on the D series, say a D16y8, that has 127hp - 107trq

hes getting the b series for cheap, and even with your basic bolt ons, the d wont get you that extra 30 hp but will probably match the torque

B>D IMO

If they were free, I'd take the B16 for boost.

But to pay for a B16 swap is dumb. You pay for 4 lbs of torque. Torque wins races.

B16 tranny is amazing, but again, torque of B16 = FTL.

Posted

And even then, I would venture to say that the B18B does better with boost, and then the GSR would be an even better option for boost.

So all around would never swap a B16 unless it was free lol.

Posted

Well its not free but its around 300-500 and it is in better shape than my d15. Plus I have no plans on racing the car, just driving. But thanks for the info anyways.
