Buddy Cole Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 is it illegal to talk on your cell while driving? i heard this from a friend, but not sure if its true. i never heard of a bill like this in the news or anything.
GsrCrx Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 In New York yes... And they WILL pull you over... They got me for it once, no ticket tho..
Humphries Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 not in GA if you have a hands free, it isnt illegal.
IL3GL'88 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 yah depends on the state. oregon and washington no but i dont know about cali or anywhere else for that matter
coolcat467 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 At first I thought this thread was gonna be about a cell phone that was illegal. In Nebraska, cell phones are the least of the problems. Stupid rednecks can't drive.
Ben. Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 At first I thought this thread was gonna be about a cell phone that was illegal. In Nebraska, cell phones are the least of the problems. Stupid rednecks can't drive. They visualize public roads as backwoods. roffle.
coolcat467 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Alright lol. That was some good off-topic discussion.
Humphries Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 any phone can be hands free. just use your earbuds that come with the phone when you got it.
airjordan223 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 not all phones come with earbuds though. speaker works too
coolcat467 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Doesn't hands-free mean that you can just say a name and it will dial it and all that mumbo jumbo? I could be wrong.
airjordan223 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 yeah i think so, but thats annoying IMO, i can dial the number faster than it takes for me to say the name and have the phone recognize it
Ben. Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 My Razr didn't come with any headset. And the speakerphone capability is weak, especially in a car with a catback exhaust system. I ended up going bluetooth. I love it.
coolcat467 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 yeah i think so, but thats annoying IMO, i can dial the number faster than it takes for me to say the name and have the phone recognize it Agreed. Half the time it brings up names that aren't even close to what I said.
mycarsux Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I heard that it was ratified very recently to be illegal in all states...idk if its true.
Chris 32 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 It is illegal in NJ, you have to have a headset.
Ben. Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 CA doesn't count though. That's a country within a country. LOL.
Kastigir Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I'm fairly certain there is legislation on the books in every state calling for it's illegality. At this time it is not yet illegal in all states.
