Stiphy Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 i dont like slow driving :whip: , i usually drive the edmonton area highways about 150kph, unfortunatly if i hold the car over 4000 rpms for more than aprox 5 min when i slow down my cars smoking out the hood (not the best thing to happen i assume) is this normal, im sure most lude owners have at least tested their cars out. (88 si model) any help appreciated
cranny Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 as long as the car doesnt overheat , the oil and fluids are topped , smoke or not your good to go.
Kegger Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Tighten all of your pulleys, A/C and power steering if you've got it, and your alternator. If its belts that should help. But also take the belts off and looks for signs of wear, pretty easy to tell with the ribbed belts Honda uses. And if thats not it look for oil or coolant leak and definitely check all of your coolant hoses to make sure you're not leaking anything.
