lightGear Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I don't have an owners manual and I need to find out what the SRS light means on the dash board. http://cargurus.com/Cars/Overview-c2132-1998-Odyssey.html I have been scanning forums for a while now and I cant find the answer. I think it has something to do with the seatbelts? Maybe?

Monty Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Supplemental Restraint System (or SRS) is the system that controls your airbags. Unfortunately, there are MANY things that trigger this annoying light, and making it go away can cause plenty of headaches Link to the whole thing here,... CLICKY! Google'd it and it was the third link.
Jeffro Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I had the light come on in my 2000 Accord and my wife's 1996 Ody on the same day, and had 2 entirely different problems. My accord was a switch in the seatbelt, which was free to get replaced at the dealer (Any seatbelt problem is free at the dealer, FYI. I didn't know that before) and my Ody was the SRS control unit (about $900, damn it). Hopefully its just a fuse or something.
lightGear Posted February 8, 2007 Author Posted February 8, 2007 Link to the whole thing here,... CLICKY! Google'd it and it was the third link. Yeah i saw that link but the two cars that it mentions are not Honda's and I wasn't sure if it would be the same in my Oddy.
Monty Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Just because it doesn't mention your exact model, doesn't mean it can't be one of those problems. And anyway, what would it hurt to check? But technically I answered what your question was, seeing as you didn't really mention what the problem was, just that you needed to know what the SRS light meant.
