ryhyatt Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Can anyone quickly tell me how to remove the air intake duct from my car? I'm trying to install some new low beam headlight bulbs and the air intake duct is blocking me from getting access on the left side. The car is an Accord 4 cylinder coupe, the manual indicates the air intake duct has to be removed, but it doesn't say how. I'm sure it's a simple enough process but I've tried pulling the thing out and it aint coming.
Jeffro Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Twist slightly and pull straight up. Or just work around it like I do. It's a squeeze, but the bulbs aren't that big, its just **** on your hands no matter which way. The little intake tube doesn't give you that much space.

I can't squeeze my hands through the intake/battery to change the bulb. So it looks like I have to remove the intake but I can't. It twists a bit and I tried pulling it up. but no go. HELP!
Jeffro Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Pull harder. There is nothing holding it into the reservoir tank. Its like sticking two pipes together, that's all.
wannaBstuntin Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Are you talking about here? You could just move the battery too.
Jeffro Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 That tube in that picture pulls straight out, then you don't have to unbolt anything.
