what can we talk about so we dont get a other thread locked

And why don't they lock all the off topic forums instead of the ones that talk badly about mods. Hypocritical I think. I also deal with children that could do a more grown up job than some of the mods on this forum.

Oh, and please don't mistake my posts for "complaining" It's disguist...not complaining. Also, is it stated in the rules somewhere that we have to agree with mods and can't speak our mind?

Read the rules.

Keep it on topic, keep it work safe, and when you're warned for something -- and the post/thread is deleted -- don't repost it.

The Snapple thread was locked after chris(pa) posted something entirely inappropriate. His post was removed, and he was warned. Next day, he posted up pretty much the same response. Another warning brought him up to 50%, which warrants a suspension, IMO. He's on 3-day suspension, and his thread was locked since he couldn't control himself. We don't always need to post a reason up for why we do things. The creator of the thread knows why it was done.

but i had no clue what was going on. all i knew was a thread i was haven fun in was locked

Exactly, and anytime you mention to the mods, that something could be done a little differently, they instantly accuse you of complaining. It was a simple suggestion that a short explanation post would be nice, and a simple...dually noted response would have been fine rather than "you all complain more than most children I know". Is there an agreement they have to make that requires them to be buttheads when responding to suggestions?

I apologize for the confusion. I do usually leave a reason (when it may not be entirely clear), but it also was late.

Yes, you gave your suggestion, and you also proceeded to go on about how "the mods suck". When suggestions are given in a mature manner, they are dealt with in a mature manner. With a baby on the way, I'm sure you can agree that there are a lot more important things to stress over than why a thread was locked. And no, I never said that every member complains more than a child, but there are a handful that will do so any chance that they get.

i think the moda and some of the members have very different ideas of what is a useless thread. who cares if its useless if its in the general discussions area. unless its flaming or bashing someone or something and could seriously offend someone, y the hell is it useless, where having fun talking about it and thats not useless thats what the internet is for. dont read it if u think its useless its not like it ruins ur computer.sheit.

Fun is not allowed in HondaForums.

This isn't about a thread being useless. A thread where the creator of that thread could not control himself (flamed/bashed, and posted an inappropriate image) was locked. mycarsux inquired about it in another thread, and hung began to launch into the typical "the mods suck" rant. xer0 apparently missed that ordeal, and was inquiring in a general manner as to why the thread was locked. If you would like to know why, scroll a few posts up and you'll have your answer.

Oh snap!

Edit: So that was Chris (pa) talkin about the whole oral thing. I could have sworn that was someone else.

but u will lock a thread before it can get back on topic?...

edit: not traying to rant or any thing but ppl don't learn to control them self if u keep slapping there hands when they do some thing wrong.... they need to learn on there own and grow up... maybe instead of just locking just delete the "bad" post not the entire thread. or put a censored mark ova it so the person knows where they did some thing wrong. not jut tell them they where wrong

There have been numerous times over the years where I have split topics, or gone through pages and deleted any off-topic material that couldn't be split into a worthwhile topic for the members of the forum. However, the thread that turned into a mod-rant would have never gone back on topic, we all know that from past experience. Had the posts been deleted, to keep it on topic, more posts/threads would have popped up complaining that they had been deleted.

On another, related, note, chris(pa) had his inappropriate post deleted. By the next day, when I came on here, after being given a warning as well, he posted up with pretty much the same post. That thread was given a chance, and chris(pa) knew that his post wasn't going to fly -- you can't include a drawing of a penis on a forum that doesn't allow NWS material, and expect it to fly, on top of the inappropriate language -- and he decided to disregard the actions that were taken, resulting in a lockdown of his thread.
