clutch450r Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 ok, right now i have a d16y7 completely stock, i plan on putting in pm7 pistons, port and polish head, regring camshaft from delta, a new valvetrain, looking at getting a BLOX intake manifold, i have a custom 2.5 catback exhaust and getting a megan racing header and muffler, my question is would i have to chip my ecu and what would be the best tuning if i have to tune it?
EH6TunerDaniel Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 I would. especially with that high of a compression.
91_Accord_Tuner Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 definately, with that amount of work it couldnt hurt to have it tuned. and yes, Hondata
TS John Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Not just that it couldn't hurt to tune. It would hurt not to. Your stock ECU is for your stock engine.
cranny Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 hondata is moocho deniro. but it is good of course. its not like hes boosting , crome or similar would be good for him. rather than spending hundreds on hondata.
coolcat467 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Yea but from the sound of it, this kid has big plans. It wouldn't hurt to just shell out the cash now for hondata so that in the future he would be prepared.
