TLontheDL Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Do you stretch prior to lifting? Why or why not?
Kegger Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Hell yeah I stretch. Ive pulled to many muscles cuz I didnt do it.
lil.honda.man Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Yea, i don't wanna look like hunchback of notre dame.
Hatch92 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 yes it allows the blood to circulate better through out your workout, then you stretch again when you are finished so your muscles to knot up.
SIR_VTEC Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Fo sho, you need to stretch cause if you don't ur going to be aching like crazy, reason why is the muscles are being forced to be stretched and by stretching your easing your muscles...in a way it massages ur muscles before you start pumpin iron lol
sup Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Instead of stretches I do a warmup set of lighter weight. Gets my muscles used to what they're about to do for the next 4 sets. The only time I do actual stretches before I lift is on leg day.
Humphries Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 i dont stretch.. i dont do lower body yet. upper body, i do 1 set of 5 at 185 to warm up
