IM swaping my dpfi to mpfi i got a d16y7 from a freind with a z6 manifold i think

in all the swap info for mpfi it says that i need a 88-91 si distributur but th d16y7 came with one i saw on rywire a conversion plug for obd0 to obd2 will it work and it came with a clutch on the motor will that work with my trans thank for the help

The rywire conversion for the dizzy will work. Its much eaasier if you just get the entire engine harness for the motor. Less wiring problems. And I don't know if that clutch will work for the 1.5 tranny.

Cable and hydro clutches are different. If you use a hydro flywheel, you can use a hydro clutch.

not if the splines are different. any D series pressure plate will bolt to any D series flywheel cable or hydro. but the splines in the disc(mainshaft) are different on the older ones(same as integra , 90-91 are different than 92-up). cable and hydro clutches are exactly the same in fact(except for the spline count , which has nothing to do with swapping flywheels). only difference ive come across is the throwbearings are different in hydro trannys vs. cable. buddy of mine bought a racing clutch for his 92 teg GSR , but he bought one for 94-00 , pressure plate bolted to flywheel fine , the splines are the same since his was a 92 , but the throwbearing was different , i had to fab a piece from the old throwbearing i took out to make it work. how the fork holds the throwbearing is different. funny you didnt know this there king.

how do i find out what spline it is and if its diffrend can i just switch out preasure plates

hey man last time i checked d16y7 was d series but anyways i talked to rywire and i can ues the motor but not the distributer so i have to get a TD02 of a si crx it should fittup right so thats where im at

ok quik question on fuel rails i know ive got to use obdo injectors but the rail i have is off a 96 dx it dosnt have the right mounting holes if i just drill the right ones will it work with the obdo injectors

First off the dizzy out of a crx is not going to bolt up to the Y7. So hes wrong on that one. Use the dizzy that goes with the motor and get the adapter. Then your gonna need a conversion harness to get your OBD to match that of the motor and the correct ECU and you'll be running fine.

Spline count doesn't matter for this application.

Just get the Y7 engine and firewall harness.

but the dizzy is obd2 and im running obdo pm6 so hows that going to work or will that sub harrness make it work with the pm6 amd the d16y7 dizzy ?

BUT THEN I HAVE TO GO TO OBD2 AND I HAVENT FOUND A WIREING DIAGRAM FOR DPFI TO OBD2 IF U KNOW OF ONE LET ME KNOW CAUSE RYWIRE IS CHARGING 330 TO REDO MY HARNESS PLUS ID HAVE TO GET A SUB HARNESS FOR THE DISSY AND ECU

No you wouldnt. Just using the crank rods and pistons you would still be running the exact same motor but with a stroker kit. No need to cahnge anything.

If you use the Y7 harnesses, ECU, and engine (and everything bolted to it). It is plug and play.

i know your 'trying' to sound smart here , im really not trying to start anything , but every fukin D series flywheel from like 90-05 is the same. what are you talking about hydro flywheel? what does the flywheel have to do with how many teeth are on the mainshaft or what clutch you can run in this case? , explain it to me? nothing thats what. putting a flywheel off a hydro car is a waste cause they are the same goof. there is no difference between the 2 flywheels unless you get into 88-89 , and even than im sure there the same. your just being an ass again. only difference there is between the 2 (cable or hyrdo) is throwbearing , and spline count on the mainshaft. anyways.

now to this guy that is being confused by this goof , the dizzys are all the same dude. use the Y7 dizzy , all the dizzys have the sensors in them. just cut the plug/plugs off the dizzy , and cut the plugs off the dizzy that came out of the car , wire the plugs onto the obd2 dizzy , and plug it into the existing wire harness. done deal. than get yourself an obd0-obd2 jumper , and run a P2E ECU(96-00 Dx). than make your life easier , by eliminating the resister box and the obd0 injectors. run the Y7 rail and injectors and cut the wires leading from the ecu to the resister box , and run them direct to the Y7 injectors. that should be it as far as that goes. by keeping the existing harness youl have other prolems as well.

just get yourself an obd2A civic harness , any harness out of any 96 honda civic. make your life easier than rewiring a car.
