Recommended Posts

Im going to look at a 91 CRX Si...

Ive been told it has no motor in it, so its just the shell.... it had a B18a in it already... so the GSR swap should be simple...

Its primer black, and just needs new tie rod ends and some body work... exactly what I was looking for...

Im pumped...

Alright...

Its deffinitly primer black lol, no rust so im happy, just some bodo where some dents are...

The front bumper was off it when I saw it but he said that he has one for it he would give to me if I bought it... The one without the fog light cutouts... not sure which ones...

I also gotta get the knuckle out of the DA that I have (The one I got the GS-R out of.) because He is using the knuckles on the one im buying for his swap (Into another crx)

Luckily the DA knuckles bolt right up or I wouldent be able to get it to my house...

But yeah I need a bushing for the rack and pinion and I need to replace the struts, which I planned on doing anyway so...

400 Bucks :)

Its a project lol...

Yeah... Its cool

Im afraid of the wireing tho...

I know I can get the motor put in and fitting right... get the axels connected, all the fuel lines run, connect the battery (which was relocated in the crx im buying), once all of that is done, I have no idea how to wire that sonovabitch up lol...

Anybody know anything that could potentially help me, Ive read everywhere about wireing diagrams and how to wire up Vtec and the secondaries in my intake manny... It just dosent make any sense to me lol...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Im going to make another thread once I start the swap..

Im going to get a couple printouts of diffrent wireing directions, and just try and follow it when I have them... it might make alittle more sense when the wires and stuffare right in front of my face..

If I cant figured it out... you'll hear from me lol

OBD1-OBD2 Engine Swaps into 89-91 Civic/CRX

To install an OBD1-OBD2 engine into your 4th Generation Civic/CRX the following adjustments will need to be made. First, if your car has dual point injection a conversion will need to be made to port injection. All Integra's 1994 and up and Civic's 1992 and up all use hydraulic transmissions. Therefore its not compatible with 4th Gen Civic's because these vehicles have cable transmissions. To complete the swap a B-series cable transmission will need to be used or a cable-hydro transmission conversion will need to be made. The left side bracket needs to be changed to a 1990-1993 Integra bracket.

For the ECU, it is best to use the ECU which belongs with the engine. Several wiring adjustments will need to be made to make the engine run correctly.

For LS-VTEC's, CRVTEC's and other Frankenstein's it is easiest to use the ECU that corresponds to the distributor and head. There are also reprogrammed ECU's which can be considered.

also check this thread, theres a link to another thread with common b-series wiring

I have a 95 GSR with a YS1 Cable Trans...

Then the VTEC and air intake bypass can be hooked up with the addition of only two wire to the ECU and one to ignition power.

Hmm.... **shrug**

Thanks man lol, ive read that thread a bunch of times...

Why? He can just bolt up a cable B series tranny and save himself lots of money and time! You will need to get the rear tranny bracket off a 90-93 integra if you dont already have one. The intermediate shaft from a 90-93 integra and axles from the same year car.
