maumee110
I have purchased a replacement door unlock fob and tried to reprogram the lock / unlock computer using your recode procedure that is listed in this site. The drive door is open, the unlock button is held up and the key is inserted in the switch 5 times quickly as described. On the sixth insertion I leave the key in and the doors do not lock and unlock showing that the unit is ready to program. The key left in the ignition buzzer works as the key is inserted and removed so I assume that the switch that sensed a key in the ignition switch is working. Now what is next? My assumption is that the reciever/computer for the remote is defective. If this is the probable next step where is this module located? Any assistance would be appreciated. I just purchased this car and had to replace the driver door unlock motor because it was cycling the locks. The former owner pulled the fuse to stop the door locks from cycling and did not supply a fob with the car so I don't know any history with the lock/unlock module. Thanks in advance for any advice.
