gdg
I ordered 4 Bosch platinum 2 spark plugs (Bosch 4312) for my 1997 Honda civic ex 4 door from autopartscanada.com. But they send me 4 spark plug with part number Bosch 4303. I check internet and find that the Bosch 4303 spark plugs are for 1997 Honda accord. I called autopartscanada.com and the guy told me that the Bosch 4303 can also be used on 1997 Honda civic ex. I asked him to send me an e-mail to confirm what he said. But I refused to to do that. Any one know if the Bosch 4303 (platinum 2) can be used on 1997 Honda civic ex 4 door. Thanks.
Kastigir
Send them back. Run to your local Honda dealer and pick up the OEM plugs for your car which will be NGKs. German plugs have no place in a Japanese car.
SOFIA
why would anyone buy bosch plugs for a honda, that makes no sense. and you don;t want to buy plugs that have more than one prong, it takes spark away from the main one and burns more fuel. if you want good plugs get NGK or Denso. you can get NGK from Nappa or if you would rather have Denso go to Autozone. send the bosch back don't hurt your motor. boostedb16
No those plugs WILL NOT work for a civic with any of the stock engines they offered in that model. The only engines those plugs will work in is the Accord LX and DX 2.2 Non V-Tec and V-Tec. I agree w/ every one else. Go with NGK. That's all I ever use. I've done a lot of tune ups and had a lot of returns with Bosch plugs, but I have never had a return on NGK plugs. I put them in everything now. From Hondas to Chevy to Yugos lol! XScarAudio
I run bosche platinums in my civic, but the single prong ones.....and they perform better than my ngks did. just personal preference tho. Don't waste $ on "specialty" plugs
92EXsedan
Don't attempt it, if they go in fine, but the threads are longer, you could pop a piston by it hitting the end of the plug, NOT a good thing! SEND THEM back!
EH6TunerDaniel
Your motor calls for NGK-R. Use those.
