Lee49645
Hey guys im new to the mod, upgrade scene and all and im wondering wat gives an engine its muffled roar like most heavily upgraded cars or video games. ie Need for Speed Underground My friends tell me its all in the exhaust and getting an HKS brand from ebay will do plenty. but i dont want it too deep. of course it has to be noticable but not to the point where ppl at the end of the block will turn heads thinking a hot one is gonna speed by. i hope im not confusing anyone but thats just how limited my experience is wih cars in general >.<

You buy a Comptech catback system it's gonna be a nice, quality sound...real quiet, until you throttle it. Or you can buy something from apexi like the N1 or the GT which are pretty loud, then get REALLLLY loud when you go wide open.

airjordan223
what if i only get the exhaust itself? do you mean just the muffler? if you get just that it will sound like crap. get a catback exhaust system and a new header, it will sound nice and you'll get a couple hp

Lee49645
so far ive been lookin at some of the catback exhausts for my accord on ebay and ive noticed that some ppl put in 4cyl and some just say 2000 accord. im afraid that the system mau not work for my car and i would have to spend time and money returning it. http://motors.search.ebay.com/search/searc...earch&fgtp= these are the choices i can find but they all show only 1 muffler when i need 2 so does that mean i have to buy 2 or are all these designed for the 4cyl Edit: ok nvm im an idiot they're all designed for the 4cyl. Anyone out there know a site where i can order a mediocre catback system for a V6 2000 Accord?
TS John
I don't think many of us want to recommend where people can get "mediocre" parts..... Just stick with eBay if all you want is for your car to "sound like a videogame." Or, research some brand names by searching around and then go to their sites and listen to sound clips. Most companies will have them.
Rick B.
if you want a nice sounding exhaust that will turn heads. get an aero turbine exhaust. you can pick one up at midas. its actually a decent exhuast, the way its designed it causes the exhaust to spin and it accerlates out of the muffler giving it a much better flow. at least thats what the brochure said. lol. anyways, i had one on my civic coupe and it was decently loud and it had a deep tone to it. Pballer2005
i just had a magnaflow, universal, glasspack muffler on my car, just the muffler, and it sounds fine. its quiet enough when i'm driving normal so that i'm not getting a headache on long trips, but if i floor it its plenty loud. that and an intake will sound just fine if you don't want something too loud.
