Rick B.
the p72 is a gsr ecu. most would say go with the p28 because its a better platform to tune and chip since its a civic vtec ecu. i have a p28 ecu for my gsr and i love it.
cranny
you cant just run a P28 not chipped though. if you have no means or knoledge about chipping ecu's and getting your car tuned , stay away from the P28. just go with a P72.
puerkone
so i would not loose any performance with the p28 than the p72? so they run the same it that what u mean? well the thing is that my p28 is chipped because when i rev it to 4000 rpms stays there; so ill be good with the 1 i have ?? cranny
thats a good thing for sure. launch control is activated and working. what kind of engine did that P28 you have run before you got it? the fuel and ignition maps are all different for the different engines. even b16 vs. GSR. not that you cant run a GSR on a B16 fuel map , but it wont work as good as one made for the engine. plus GSR vtec engages at different time than B16. so on. GSR has IAB's. anyways , find out what engine the ecu ran before you got it.

cranny
definitely not dude. dont even try it , youl lean your engine out. make it run hot , and still have no power. you can use that ecu , but you need a different basemap put on it for you. whats it chipped for? uberdata? crome? i think you can tune an uberdata chipped ecu with crome anyways. pretty sure. find someone with a rom burner dude , and can tune.
