CleanGSR
That wire is for the dimming part of your headunit so your cd player will dim when you turn on the lights, like the rest of the dash lights. Just hook it to a wire that gets power when the lights are on. You should already have a wire there for that from the factory head unit. If you can't find it, buy a tester light for $5 from walmart and find the right wire. Or, if you don't care about having the head unit dim with the rest of the dash lights, then leave that wire unhooked.

CleanGSR
It will still light up......but you know how when you turn on your headlights, your clock get's dimmer???? Well, having that hooked up will make your cd player dim just like the clock once the headlights are turned on. You don't have to hook it up, but if you want to, your best bet would be to get a tester light to track down what wire you need. If you need more info on how to do that with the tester light, let me know.

Kastigir
Tell me you used a wiring harness and didn't cut and splice everything.
dohc1991integra
Tell me you used a wiring harness and didn't cut and splice everything. well the story goes... i was told to get a wireing harness so i did...i was thinking i would have to cut and splice but i was happy to know i didnt after getting the wireing harness...got home and took out all my speakers and the entire consol (which requires the center consol, the dash part under the steering wheel and under the passenger side dash) whick took an hour...started to read some directions and tried to fit the wireing harness in and, of course it didnt fit. CRAP...so my choices were either to... clean out all the tools and boxes etc. so i could drive the car drive into town and get a new wireing harness. or i could cut and splice everything. so i cut and splice everything...and an hour l8r it was done...but i would have much rather had the wireing harness!!! im just glad i wired everything right the first time... dohc1991integra
It's normal for a head unit to get pretty warm. yeah thats wat i figured...but hey... i went out to put the dash all back together on my car yesterday but i first decided to make sure the stereo worked...cause i would hate to put the dash together and the stereo not work, but anyway i tried to start the car and the battery was dead...i didnt want to jumpstart a deadbattery cause that would put a strain on my alternator so i just charged it all day and hopefully it will still start tomarow... does any body know wat might cause a dead battery after a stereo install? Kegger
Leaving a hot wire grounded will do it. Or it'll catch your car on fire.

EH6TunerDaniel
I hate trying to install a stereo in a car when someone has cut the harness before I get to it. Its a pain in the ass.
CleanGSR
Your battery is probably dead because your car wasn't running while doing the install. I'm sure you had an interior light on? Plus having the headunit turn on and off while installing it all would add up. I wouldn't worry about it unless it drains again.
