Glenno
Hey guys seriously looking at buying one of these cars. Im pretty sure the B16 would be quicker stock because of the weight. But after a few of the same mods to both would the H22A be faster? A friend of mine had a 93 Delsol CRX B16A2 with a VERY expensive exhaust which really did a power boost.A very good CAI that was almost on the road and that gave a huge boost and thats all? 3rd gear on a cold night in you hit VTEC it would spin sometimes!!!!!! Then my mates girl friend has a 93 i think it is H22 vtec prelude (stock) and he thinks its no were near as fast as the CRX our friend use2 have so? So im struggeling to choose! Please tell me. Which one is faster stock and which one is faster after exhaust CAI extractors and so fourth. Thanks
Hatch92
it all depends on who is driving the cars to figure out which is fast. stock for stock i would say the b16 for being lighter but built for built the H22. but the only real way is to drive both and go from there. if you realy want to findout which is faster and have proof take both cars to a track and see what they do. Rick B.
the b16a2 doesnt have near as much hp and torque as the h22 has. the h22 has 200hp stock, the b16 has 170 30hp is a big difference my friend. im willing to bet the h22 is faster. also, with the more displacement, the h22 will benefit more from a cold air intake since the engine sucks in more air. cranny
B16A2 = 160 horse. and the H22 has way more potential.
Chubs
4th gen Preludes are pretty quick, I know my 5th gen a while back when all she had was an intake and exhaust I beet out a CRX with a GSR, close race though.
cranny
no substitution for cubic inches. torque wins races.

That's pretty impressive. That would be like my car with 400 lbs less, which would be pretty quick.

cranny
CTR(B16B) = 185 horse. and is one of the best designed engines honda made imo. as far as the torture it can endure. same compression ratio as ITR(and block for that matter). same stroke as b16. but badass pistons and long ass rods.
