Olde Dude
Don't slam me too hard, I've already beat my head against the wall. Somewhere between parking the car (91 HB), locking it and going inside the house, the ONLY key to the ignition and the doors has gone missing. This - http://tinyurl.com/ynj4xl - might do for doors? What do I need to be aware of for the ignition side of the problem? Any advise is appreciated. TX in advance.
cranny
wedge a wedge in between the trim that bumps against the window and door. if you look down inside the door , close to the latch side , youl see a little round bar in there. push down on it , will unlock the door. see if you left your keys inside. Olde Dude
TX but I got it opened already and have left the doors unlocked and taken everything out. Where I'm stuck is it looks as if I am going to have to replace the ignition key on the steering column. If so, hints, advice etc? TX

chicotunner95
take the passenger door lock assembly off, this is the handle and everything, it has a number written on the lock that can be used at any locksmith to make u an exact copy without the original key, i paid 25 bucks to get it done, he told me without the lock assembly he would have charged 75 ps: it has to be the passenger side because the driver side lock does not have this number written on it

Kastigir
You need your VIN and registration. I didn't. I gave them the VIN, and they cut me a new key. No charge. On second thought, I think I showed them my insurance card.

Olde Dude
OK - here's the deal with getting a duplicate key made if you lose yours: Driver's License Registration Insurance Card Go to parts counter at Honda dealer. After they verify that you're the owner, they'll punch in the VIN, locate the blank and the blank is then cut via the computer data base info for the VIN. You can also see EVERYTHING Honda has put out on the car with that VIN. Total cost: $7.34 with tax. Locksmith: $150.00 Nuff said?

Kastigir
Depends on your dealer as well. I have a pretty good rapport with my local dealer, and they cut me a new key at no charge.
